低气味、低散发PC/ABS合金的研究

Study on PC/ABS Alloy with Low Odor and Volatile Organic Compounds Content

摘要: 采用熔融共混法制备了聚碳酸酯(PC)/丙烯晴丁二烯苯乙烯(ABS)合金,利用力学性能测试和热脱附气相/质谱分析等手段考察了吸附剂和萃取剂对PC/ABS合金力学性能、气味和挥发性有机物(VOC)的影响。结果表明,伴随吸附剂和萃取剂添加量的增加,PC/ABS合金的气味得到不断改善,总挥发性有机物(TVOC)相应持续降低,而对合金材料力学性能的影响甚微;另外,吸附剂添加量的增加会加重PC/ABS合金的吸湿性,当吸附剂用量达到5 %(质量分数,下同)时,自然放置480 h后,其吸水量提高1.7倍;在PC/ABS合金中,当添加的吸附剂和萃取剂用量分别为0.5 %、1.5 %时,得到综合性能最优的产品,气味强度达到3.0级,舒适度改善到0级,TVOC较挤出未添加吸附剂和萃取剂时的纯PC/ABS合金降幅57.9 %;萃取剂对PC/ABS合金环保性能的改善作用优于吸附剂,而二者连用复合体系较各自单独使用更优。

Abstract: PC/ABS alloys were prepared by melt blending and the effects of adsorbents and extractants on the mechanical performance and the odor and volatile organic compounds (VOC) contents of the resulting alloys were investigated by mechanical tests and thermal desorption gas phase/mass spectrometry analysis. The results indicated that the odor of the alloys increased with increasing the amount of adsorbents and extractants, but the total VOC content decreased. Furthermore, there was no side-effect found on the mechanical properties of the alloys. In addition, the hygroscopicity of the alloys became worse due to the increase of the amount of adsorbents. With the addition of 5 wt % adsorbents, the water absorption of the alloys increased by a factor of 1.7 after naturally stored for 480 h. When the dosages of adsorbent and extractant were 0.5 and 1.5 wt %, respectively, the alloy achieved the optimum comprehensive performance, the odor intensity reached level 3, the comfort level was improved up to level 0, and the total VOC was reduced by 57.9 % compared to the pure PC/ABS alloy. The ecological friendly performance of the alloy by using extractant was better than that by adsorbent, but a combination of them could generated a much better effect than the individuals.
