Abstract: The thermal stabilizing function of Ca/Zn system in transparent rigid PVC products was compared with organic tin. It was found that the 194# Ca/Zn stabilizer had the best overall performance, the stabilization time was comparable with organic tin. For the weightloss property, the flaky stabilizer was poorer than, and the powder stabilizer was comparable to organic tin. The 194# Ca/Zn stabilizer resulted in higher transparency and lighter discoloration, which met the requirements for transparent rigid PVC products.
