Abstract: A set of injection mould was designed for the PMMA artwork ‘Bird nest’. According to the analysis of the structure and injection process, the contracted core with eight inserts and the twice - parting mechanism with pendulum hook were adopted to make the injecting and stripping of this set of mould work well. This article offered one efficient and reasonable idea for the mould design of the hollow plastic work pieces.
