硅油及钛白粉在聚丙烯膨胀阻燃中的应用研究

Application of Phenyl Silicone Oil and Titanium Dioxide in Polypropylene Intumescent Flame Retardant

摘要: 选用一种含有聚磷酸铵的高效膨胀型阻燃剂(SR-50A)与聚丙烯(PP)和不同含量的苯基硅油和钛白粉通过挤出造粒法制备了膨胀型阻燃母粒,将其与PP注塑成阻燃复合材料,利用极限氧指数测试仪等对阻燃复合材料的燃烧性能进行测试。结果表明,复合材料中膨胀型阻燃母粒含量为20 %(质量分数,下同),苯基硅油的添加量为0.17 %时,极限氧指数值提高到35.6 %;钛白粉的添加量为1 %时,极限氧指数值提高到35.1 %,垂直燃烧等级(UL 94)均能达到V-0级;苯基硅油的加入可促进阻燃剂在阻燃初始阶段的分解,降低了复合材料的热分解速率,钛白粉的加入可促进基体成炭。

Abstract: In this paper, a masterbatch was prepared by introducing phenyl silicone oil and titanium dioxide into a blend of polypropylene and an intumescent flame-retardant SR-50A (PP/IFR) through extrusion. When the content of masterbatch in polypropylene was 20 wt%, the limited oxygen index value of the system reached 35.6 %, and all the samples reached UL 94 V-0 grade. Thermal gravimetric analysis showed that the addition of phenyl silicone oil promoted the decomposition of flame retardant in the initial stage and reduced the thermal decomposition rate of PP. Titanium dioxide promoted the char formation. The addition of phenyl silicone and titanium dioxide had little influence on the mechanical properties of the composites.
