阻燃抑烟型聚丁二酸丁二醇酯复合材料的性能研究

摘要: 以改性碱式硫酸镁晶须(MHSH)为无机填料,结合膨胀型阻燃剂(IFR),通过熔融共混法制备了阻燃型聚丁二酸丁二醇酯(PBS)复合材料,并对复合材料的力学性能、阻燃性能和抑烟性能进行了研究。结果表明,改性MHSH既可增强阻燃型复合材料的力学性能,又可协效IFR提高其阻燃性能;当MHSH与IFR的添加量分别为2 %(质量分数,下同)和23 %时,PBS复合材料的拉伸强度、弯曲强度和冲击强度相比只添加25 % IFR的复合材料分别提高了33.33 %、6.65 %和21.80 %,其极限氧指数为39.8 %,UL 94达到了V-0等级;MHSH协效IFR可有效降低阻燃型PBS复合材料燃烧时的烟释放总量和一氧化碳(CO)、二氧化碳(CO2)释放速率,降低复合材料的火灾危险性。

Abstract: Flame-retardant poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) composites were prepared by melt blending using intumescent flame retardant (IFR) and modified basic magnesium sulfate whisker (MHSH), and their mechanical performance, flame-retardant properties and smoke suppression were investigated. The results indicated that the incorporation of MHSH could enhance the mechanical performance and flame retardancy of the composites. When the contents of IFR and MHSH were set as 23 wt % and 2 wt %, respectively, the composites achieved a LOI value of 39.8 vol % and UL 94 V-0 classification. Their tensile strength, bending strength and impact strength also increased by 33.33 %, 6.65 % and 21.80 %, respectively, compared with those of the composites only containing 25 wt % of IFR. The addition of MHSH could effectively reduce the total smoke release amount and the release rate of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide for the composites due to its synergistic effect, thus reducing the fire risk of the composites.
