硅烷交联无卤阻燃乙烯-辛烯共聚物的制备与性能

Preparation and Properties of Silane-crosslinked Halogen-free Flame-retardant Polyethylene-octene Elastomer

摘要: 采用双螺杆挤出机和单螺杆挤出机以两步熔融共混法,制备了硅烷接枝交联乙烯-辛烯共聚物(POE)/氢氧化镁(MH)/氢氧化铝(ATH)复合材料。研究了不同硅烷和引发剂接枝交联POE的效率,用万能拉力试验机、热延伸试验仪、极限氧指数仪及热失重分析仪等研究了PP/MH/ATH复合材料的力学、热延伸、热失重和阻燃等性能。结果表明,过氧化二异丙苯引发硅烷接枝交联POE的凝胶含量高于过氧化苯甲酰,硅烷接枝交联POE的难易顺序为乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷>乙烯基三乙氧基硅烷>3-甲基丙烯酰氧基三甲氧基硅烷;阻燃剂用量一定时,交联阻燃POE的拉伸强度和断裂伸长率都低于非交联阻燃POE,交联阻燃POE的极限氧指数比未交联的高约1 %;MH阻燃POE 600 ℃热分解残炭率高于ATH阻燃的,交联后阻燃POE的质量保留率比交联前高。

Abstract: Silane-crosslinked halogen-free flame-retardant poly(ethylene-octene) elastomer(POE) compounds were prepared through a two-step melt-compounding method using Mg(OH)2 and Al(OH)3 as flame retardants, and its grafting rate was investigated in terms of different silanes and initiators. Mechanical properties, hot elongation performance, thermal decomposition behaviors and flame-retardant properties of the compounds were investigated by using a universal testing machine, a hot elongation tester, a thermogravimeter and a limiting oxygen index instrument. The results indicated that the silane-crosslinked POE initiated by dicumyl peroxide achieved a higher cross-linking degree than that by benzoyl peroxide. The crosslinking feasibility of POE with silane-crosslinking agents is in the order of vinyl trimethoxysilane>vinyl triethoxysilane>γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane. The silane-crosslinked flame-retardant POE achieved a higher limiting oxygen index and better mechanical properties than uncrosslinked ones. Moreover, POE/Mg(OH)2 compound obtained a higher char yield than POE/Al(OH)3 ones. The silane-crosslinked flame-retardant POE also presented more residual mass than uncrosslinked ones.
