Numerical and Experimental Study on Concentration Distribution of LLDPE/SBS Blending Process

Abstract: The iso-thermal blend process of two polymer melts in HAAKE mixer were numerically 3-D simulated using FEM software POLYFLOW. The mixing mechanism of PE-LLD/SBS melts in HAAKE mixer was revealed by analyzing position, rotating speed, ratio of disperse phase, and temperature. The simulated data was agreed well with experimental results.
