Abstract: The recycled coextrusion multilayer film scraps(r-MCEFS) were employed to modify asphalt(heavy traffic 70#). The effect of r-MCEFS dosage on the general performances, microstructure, and rheological property of the modified asphalt were investigated. It showed that the softening point of the modified asphalt increased with increasing r-MCEFS content. The microstructure of the modified asphalt converted from the “sea-island” into the “web-like” structure at 4 phr r-MCEFS content. The elastic recovery and high temperature stability were improved by the introduction of r-MCEFS. Interfacial interaction between asphalt and r-MCEFS was increased.
