Abstract: In this article, research progress in alternative technologies for HCFCs foaming of extruded polystyrene (XPS) in China, USA, EU, and Japan was reviewed. The properties of XPS foam, blowing agents, and extrusion foaming equipments were discussed. Finally, the market was analyzed based on the developing trend of HCFCs foaming and fire protection requirements in China.
