Abstract: Sisal fibers (SF) reinforced poly (lactic acid) (PLA) composites were prepared by hot-press molding. The bio-degradation performance of the composites was investigated by K- protease degradation, and the non-isothermal crystallization performance of PLA during enzymatic degradation was analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). It showed that the introduction of sisal fiber into PLA matrix could accelerate the degradation rate of the composites, which increased with increasing SF weight fraction.
