Abstract: Atactic copolypropylene (PP-RCT) was developed through the modification of crystallinity. A comparative investigation on structure and properties of PP-RCT and normal PPR resins was performed by gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry, capillary rheometer, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis, polarized light microscopy, Fouriertransform infrared spectroscopy and conventional mechanical tests. Molecular structure, crystal morphology, mechanical properties of these resins were analyzed comprehensively. Resolutions for the development of PPRbased pipes special materials were proposed on the basis of production process, additives and other aspects.
