Abstract: Atactic copolypropylene (PP-RCT) was developed through the modification of crystallinity. A comparative investigation on structure and properties of PP-RCT and normal PPR resins was performed by gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry, capillary rheometer, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis, polarized light microscopy, Fouriertransform infrared spectroscopy and conventional mechanical tests. Molecular structure, crystal morphology, mechanical properties of these resins were analyzed comprehensively. Resolutions for the development of PPRbased pipes special materials were proposed on the basis of production process, additives and other aspects.
