Abstract: The orthogonal experiment was conducted for a printer plastic part with metal inserts under different injection-molding conditions by using a CAE numerical simulation. The results indicated that the mold temperature, holding pressure and holding exhibited a minor effect on x-, y- and z- directional warp distortion, and the holding pressure, mold temperature and mold temperature also showed the significantly factors on x-, y- and z-directional warp distortions. x-, y- and z-directional warp distortions could be reduced by manufacturers through optimizing and adjusting the process parameters.
