Abstract: This paper reviewed several preparation methods for expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which included the stretching, pore-forming and spinning methods. The applications of ePTFE in chemical, textile, medical, mechanical and aerospace fields were introduced in detail, and their future direction of research and development was prospected.
