Abstract: The bamboo charcoal (BC)-reinforced polypropylene composites were prepared by a meltblending method, and the effect of BC content on the electrical conductivity of the composites was evaluated. The results indicated that the addition of BC reduced the volume resistivity of the composites significantly, and the electrical conductivity exhibited a higher growth rate especially with the addition of BC over 30 wt%. Moreover, the morphology, water absorption, apparent porosity, mechanical properties and thermal stability of the composites were also investigated.
