Abstract: Due to the high crystallinity and the lower notched impact property, the application fields of polyoxymethylene（POM）were limited. In this paper, the main toughening modification methods and research progress were reviewed. The toughening mechanism of POM with elastomer, rigid inorganic particles, and other plastics were discussed. At last, a prospect of POM toughening modification was made.
