Abstract: The surface of silicone rubber was modified via the grafting of polyacrylamide ( PAAM) by Ultraviolet, The surface composition and morphology of the modified silicone rubber were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) , contact angle measurement and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that under 1kw Ultraviolet, the optimum distance between the silicone rubber and UV was 15cm, the optimum volume ratio of C3H3O/H2O was 6:4 and the optimum photoinitiator content was 0.3%.
