Research progress in biodegradable PHB materials

Abstract

Abstract: This paper reviewed the research progress in the improvement of the material properties of polyhydroxybutyrate （PHB） through two different ways， physical blending and chemical structure modification. The modification methods included the melting blending with natural raw materials， inorganic filler， biodegradable resin， and the chemical structure modification through block/grafting. The future application prospect of PHB was future forecasted.
