Abstract: The gelation degree of CPVC in deferent processing temperatures were tested using DSC, and the relationship between the gelation degree and mechanical properties was studied. It showed that when the processing temperature increased from 170 to 180 ℃, the gelation degree increased from 47.2 % to 76.5 %. The CPVC exhibited good mechanical properties when the gelation degree was 61.9 %.
Key words: chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, gelation degree, processing temperature, mechanical properties
