Evaluating Methods of Hindered Phenolic Antioxidants in Polyolefins

Abstract

Abstract: Progress in evaluating methods of hindered phenolic antioxidants in polyolefins was summarized. The evaluating methods included differential scanning calorimetry, infrared spectrometry, chemiluminescence spectroscopy, and chromatography, etc. The limitations and main problems of each evaluation method were pointed out, which provided a reference for evaluation of hindered phenolic antioxidants in relatively complex systems, and qualitative and quantitative analysis of hindered phenolic antioxidants in polyolefins.
