Abstract: Temperature difference blending (TDB) was applied to the preparation of PP/TLCP in situ reinforcement composites. Scanning electron micrographs (SEM) revealed that the deformation of TL-CP from droplets to fibrils in PP/TLCP system was affected by the content of the TLCP.  While the loading of TLCP approached 30%,TLCP fibrils took preferred orientation in both skin and core of the composites. The tensile strength and modulus increased with increasing content of TLCP (below 20%) at a cost of decreasing elongation at break.
