Abstract: In this experiment PP and supercritical CO2 (SC-CO2) were first mixed in a sealed pressure vessel to form a homogeneous system, which was spun to fiber through melt differential electrospinning. The effect of supercritical CO2 on the fiber was studied. The average diameters of the fiber made from neat PP, PP and mixture of PP and SC-CO2 were 12.8, 8.02, 5.08 μm, respectively. After being mixed with supercritical CO2 the viscosity of PP melt, and the crystallinity of solid PP were decreased.
