Abstract: Blends of waste polyester fabric/polypropylene containing β nucleating agent were prepared using a twin-screw extruder. The crystallization and melting behavior, crystal morphology and microstructure of the composite were investigated using DSC, WAXD, POM, and SEM. It was found that a large quantity of β form was induced by the loaded β nucleating agent. The waste polyester fabric could be effectively dispersed and maintain the fiber morphology with little influence on the β crystal of polypropylene.
