Abstract: Recent progress in composites of liquid crystal polymers and polyamide was reviewed, including lyotropic liquid crystal polyamide/polyamide, thermotropic liquid crystal polyester/polyamide, and thermotropic liquid crystal polyamide/polyamide systems. The compatibility in these systems and its influence factors were discussed. The hydrogen-bond interaction between thermotropic liquid crystal polyamide and polyamide was considered a promising approach to the compatibilization.
