Shrinkage Prediction of Cylindrical Thin-walled Parts in Plastic Injection Molding Base on Design of Experiments

摘要: 论述了基于实验设计法(DOE)建立圆筒形薄壁件注射成型收缩预测模型。通过部分析因设计(FFD)初步筛选出对圆筒薄壁塑件垂直方向上的收缩影响最为显著的4个工艺参数:模具温度、保压时间、保压压力以及熔体温度;运用中心复合设计(CCD)以及有限元模拟建立非线性数学预测模型,并对该模型进行了理论分析以及工程试验。结果表明,该模型可以以足够精度用于预测圆筒形薄壁件收缩,可达到提前纠正产品尺寸参数从而得到更好的制品品质,避免多次试模。

Abstract: This paper provide a nonlinear mathematical model for the prediction of shrinkage of thin-well plastic cylindrical parts based on design of experiments(DOE).Four most influential parameters were screened by using fractional factorial design(FFD):mold temperature, pack time, pack press, and melt temperature. For the four principal processing parameters, a mathematical model was formulated by using central composite design(CCD)of experiments and FE simulation. Finally, the results of statistical analysis were collected from software Moldflow, and engineering tests ware also used. The results suggested that the mathematical model could be used to predict shrinkage with reasonable accuracy.
