化合物对乙丙弹性体/IFR体系阻燃性能和热降解行为的影响

Effect of Compounds on the Flame Retardancy and Thermal Degradation of Ethylene-propylene Elastomer/IFR System

摘要: 采用氧指数测定仪、扫描电子显微镜、热重分析仪和红外光谱研究了化合物氧化镧(La2O3)和4A分子筛(4A)对膨胀阻燃茂金属乙丙弹性体(MEP/IFR)体系的阻燃性能和热降解行为的影响。结果表明,用化合物替代1 %的膨胀阻燃剂(IFR)后,能在一定程度上提高复合材料的极限氧指数值,其中4A分子筛的效果较好,达到28.6 %;添加化合物后,残炭的致密程度提高;2种化合物都能改善复合材料在高温下的热稳定性和残炭率,并能在残炭中形成了更多的聚芳烃和P—O—C、P—O—P的交联结构。

Abstract: The effect of lanthanum oxide(La2O3)and 4A zeotile (4A) on the flame retardancy and thermal degradation of ethylene-propylene elastomer(MEP)/IFR system was investigated by means of limited oxygen index, scanning electrical microscopy (SEM), thermogravinity analysis (TGA) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). It was found that the limited oxygen index values of the composites increased when 1 % compounds were incorporated into it, and 4A had the better synergistic effect with its limited oxygen index reaching to 28.6 %. SEM observed that much more compact char layers were formed when the compounds was added into MEP/IFR system. TGA and FTIR results revealed that the IFR remained more char residue when La2O3 and 4A zeotile were introduced into MEP/IFR, and more polyaromatic spacies, and more P—O—C and P—O—P connected structures were formed.
