新型成炭剂对PE-LD阻燃性能的影响

Influence of Novel Charring Agent on Flame Retardancy of PE-LD

摘要: 以多聚磷酸铵(APP)与新型成炭剂(CNCH-DA)复配成新型膨胀型阻燃剂(IFR),采用氧指数测定仪、垂直燃烧测定仪、微型量热仪、热重分析仪和扫描电子显微镜研究了CNCH-DA 对低密度聚乙烯(PE-LD)/IFR复合材料阻燃性能的影响。结果表明,当APP与CNCH-DA以质量比5:1复配时,PE-LD/IFR复合材料的极限氧指数达到27.5 %,且达到UL 94 V-0级;当APP与CNCH-DA复配后,PE-LD的燃烧性能下降;APP与CNCH-DA复配后,PE-LD/IFR复合材料的热降解有所推迟;PE-LD/IFR在燃烧后能形成致密且蓬松的炭层,起到良好的阻燃效果,而PE-LD/CNCH-DA则形成蓬松而不致密的微球,阻隔能力差。

Abstract: A novel intumescent flame retardant (IFR) was composed by ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and novel charring agent (CNCH-DA), and the influence of CNCH-DA on the flame retardancy of PE-LD was investigated by limited oxygen index, vertical test, microscale combustion colorimeter, thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy. It was found that the limited oxygen index of the PE-LD composites was 27.5 % with UL 94 V-0 rating when the mass ratio of APP to CNCH-DA was 5:1. The heat release rate and total heat release measured by MCC decreased remarkably. The composites decomposed at higher temperature when APP and CNCH-DA were composed together. An intumescent and compact char layer was formed for PE-LD/IFR composite with excellent flame retardant properties, while lots of small balls were formed for PE-LD/CNCH-DA with poor barrier properties.
