Study on Modification of Poly(vinyl chloride) with Ethylene-vinyl Acetate Copolymer

摘要: 研究了乙烯醋酸乙烯共聚物(EVA)对聚氯乙烯(PVC)材料结构和性能的影响,主要考察了EVA及其用量对PVC复合材料力学性能的影响,并对复合材料的结构进行了表征。结果表明,与传统丁腈橡胶(NBR)复合PVC相比较,EVA可在大幅度提高PVC冲击强度的同时,还能避免NBR复合PVC时存在的低温环境下材料弹性模量过低、高温易变色的缺陷,且EVA在PVC基体中具有良好的分散性。

Abstract: This article reported a study on the modification of poly(vinyl chloride) with an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA, 25 wt % vinyl acetate). The effect of EVA content on structure and properties of PVC compounds was investigated extensively. The results indicated that EVA not only effectively toughened PVC but also avoided the deterioration in low-temperature elastic modulus and color change in high temperature in comparison with butyronitrile rubber as a traditional impact modifier. EVA also exhibited a much better dispersibility in PVC matrix.
