Abstract: In the United States, poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) pipes accounts for about 66 % of the total plastic pipes, and always are the largest amount used for water supply. This paper analysed the quality control in USA according to the American standards and certification systems from the aspects of raw material control, compound class, and the testing of the product. A comparison was also made between Chinese and USA standards for the quality inspection methods.
