Abstract: The crystallization, thermal, and mechanical properties of PET/talc composite were studied using differential scanning calorimeter and thermogravimetric analysis. When the loading of talc was 0.5 wt%, the crystallization temperature was increased by 11.36 ℃ based on neat PET. Ozawa, Jeziorny, and Mo methods were used to describe the non-isothermal crystallization kinetics. It was found that Jeziorny and Mo methods could well describe the non-isothermal crystallization, while Ozawa was not suitable. Because of the good dispersion of talc in PET, the thermal property of PET was well maintained, and the tensile property was improved 12 %.
