Abstract: The preparation and mechanical, optics, electric, magnetic properties of polypyrrole（PPy）/inorganic particle nanocomposites were reviewed. The inorganic particle included inorganic magnetic particle，metal oxide，and inorganic carbons（carbon black，carbon nanotube，nano-graphite sheet）. The present research and applications of the nanocomposites in the fields of electromagnetic shielding, stealth materials, antistatic materials, conductive polymer capacitor, secondary battery, and chemical sensor were introduced．
