Abstract: In this paper, the relationship between compositions and properties of chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride)/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer/chlorinated polyethylene (CPVC/ABS/CPE) ternary blends was studied. The torque of CPVC/ABS/CPE decreased and thus the plasticizing time was reduced significantly with increasing content of ABS. When the weight ratio of CPVC to ABS was 7:3, the CPVC/ABS/CPE ternary blends displayed the best mechanical properties. CPE had good toughening effects on CPVC/ABS/CPE ternary blends, and the optimum dosage was 15 phr.
