Abstract: Using dicumyl peroxide (DCP) as an initiator agent, maleic anhydride grafted SEBS(SEBSgMAH) was prepared via melting reaction in a twinscrew extruder. FTIR indicated that MAH was grafted onto the molecular chain of SEBS. MAH grafting rate was determined by acidbase titration. TPEE foamed sheet was prepared by melting reaction in a singlescrew extruder. The effects of SEBSgMAH on mechanical properties and apparent density of TPEE foamed sheet were studied. It showed that SEBSgMAH decreased the melt flow rate of TPEE obviously. SEBSgMAH had a significant impact on the mechanical properties and apparent density of TPEE foamed sheet. With increasing SEBSgMAH contents, the compression deformation and elongation at break of foamed sheet decreased. The compression deformation and elongation at break tended to be stable when the SEBSgMAH content was 4 phr, and the cells had well distributed in the foamed TPEE, and the cell size was uniform.
