Abstract: The paper analyzed mechanical properties of injection molded parts by introducing results of Moldflow into ANSYS software based on finite element method. The results showed that the maximum von Mises stress decreased with increasing mold temperature, packing time, and packing pressure, and melt temperature, provided the external loads was the same. Meanwhile, the von Mises stress in the parts with the weld lines was significantly higher those without weld lines in the same conditions. The presence of weld lines also affected the relationship between the process parameters and the maximum von Mises stress of injection molded parts.
