Research progress in halogen?free flame-retardant thermoplastic polyolefin materials

Abstract

Abstract: This paper reviewed the research progress in halogen?free flame-retardant thermoplastic polyolefin materials in recent years， and the effect of various flame retardants on the flame?retardant and mechanical properties of polyolefin materials were analyzed. These halogen?free flame retardants for thermoplastic polyolefin mainly included metal hydroxide flame retardants and intumescent flame retardants， in which phosphate intumescent flame retardants were the most widely used. Nevertheless， the new type of one?component intumescent flame retardants has become a trend in future development.
