Abstract

Abstract: Preparation methods and applications of functionalized polymer microspheres were reviewed.Functionalized polymer microspheres were prepared via either direct polymerization or by modification.the former included emulsion, suspension, and dispersion polymerization. the latter could be categorued seeded polymerization and surface reactions. All the methodology was compared and commented.the applications of functionalized polymer microspheres in chemical engineering and biomedicine were discussed.
