Abstract: The surface of PP/EPDM blend sheet was grafted by polyacrylamide (PAAM) via UV Irradiation. The surface composition of the grafted blend sheet was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS, contact angle, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The effects of the content of EPDM, radiation time, monomer, and initiator on grafting and properties were discussed. When the content of EPDM was 20%, the mass of graft per unit area was 0.75 mg/cm^2 and the water contact angle was reduced from 102.5o to 72.5o, the surface tension was increased from 16.6 mN/m to 48.7 mN/m.
