Abstract: The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of polyoxymethylene (POM) and polyoxymethylene/calcium carbonate at different cooling rates was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The parameters of non-isothermal crystallization kinetics were obtained through Jeziorny and MO methods. It showed that the increase of cooling rates made the crystallization peaks of POM and POM/calcium carbonate move towards lower temperature and become wider. When the cooling rates was 5℃,10℃,15℃, and 20℃/min, the crystallization temperature peaks and crystallization heat of POM/calcium carbonate system were 144.6, 142.4, 141.2, 140.2℃ and 177.4, 152.2, 148.0, 137.2 J/g, respectively. Acting as a nucleating agent, calcium carbonate increased the crystallization temperature and accelerated the crystallization rate.
