Abstract: The article analysizes the structure of a hot runner mold with side-sliders according to the shell-like cover part used ofr car dashboard. Especially the mold design and molding process were have described; and the needed power of the manifold and the expansion of the system were have also calculated. In this mold, the gate wave design and heat insulation were adopted. The mold is exact and compact, which can efficiently save material, and improve the part quality and work automatically.
