Abstract: Polyaniline-La (PANI-La) was synthesized in a solution containing 0.3 mol/L aniline，2.0 mol/L HCl, and a certain amount of LaCl3, using peroxydisulphate as an oxidant. The effect of the La3+ concentration on the conductivity and structure of PANI-La was studied. It was indicated that when the concentration of La3+ was 0.3 mol/L, the PANI-La had higher conductivity at room temperature. UV and FT-IR spectra showed that there was the interaction between La3+ and N on the PANI chains.
