Abstract: A novel halogen-free charring agent，poly(2-cthylcncdiaminc-4一phcnoxy-1，3，5一triazinc)，was synthesized with a yield of 93.9%.Some factors affecting the reaction were investigated.The structure of the charring agent was characterized using FTIR. This triazine derivative was introduced int。ABS together with an intumescent flame retardant(IFR)，ammonium polyphosphate(APP)，and phosphorus, good flame retardancy was observed.
