Abstract: The effects of CaCO3 and EVA on the mechanical properties of low density polyethylene/calcium carbonate/ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer (PE-LD/CaCO3/EVA) composites were studied, and the reason was explained combined with scanning electron microscope observation of the fractured surface. It showed that when the content of EVA was 0.67 % and the content of CaCO3 between 10 % and 20 %, the mechanical properties of the composites were the best. And when the content of CaCO3 was 20 % and the content of EVA between 1.33 % and 2.33 %, the toughness increased to a maximum, and the tensile strength changed slightly with the increasing content of EVA.
