Research on Properties and Applications of XPS Boards

Abstract

Abstract: Main properties of extruded polystyrene foam(XPS) were reviewed including thermal conductivity,compression strengh,long-term thermal resistance, moisture-proofing,etc.XPS boards could be applied in thermal insulation for building and cold store, as well as geofoam for road, railway and channel. The necessity of imprving flame retardancy of XPS boards was discussed. Developing trend of XPS foam sector was put forward in the background of phase-out of HCFCs.
