Abstract: The crystallization behaviors of polytetrafluoroethylene/polybenzoate (PTFE/POB) composites were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry. Tribological behaviors of PTFE/POB composites sliding against 45# steel under dry condition were discussed, and the worn surfaces of the composites were observed using scanning electron microscope. Effects of POB content on crystallization and tribological behaviors of the composites were studied. It showed that the crystallinity of the composites increased with increasing content of POB up to 20 %. The crystallization rate of the composites was enhanced by the addition of POB. With increasing POB content, the friction coefficient of the composites increased, while its wear scar width greatly decreased.
