Abstract: In order to improve the tensile strength of Polyamide 6 (PA6)/EPDM-MA blend, the PA6/EPDM-MA/Epoxy (EP) ternary composites were prepared. Two different types of epoxy resin with various epoxy equivalent were used. The effects of different epoxy on the mechanical properties, rheological behavior, crystallization behavior of the ternary composites were studied by mechanical testing, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). It was found that the tensile strength and Notched izod impact strength of PA6/EPDM-MA blend was enhanced with the content of EP. The result from DMA showed that storage modulus(G’) and complex viscosity (η*) increased with content of EP while dynamic loss tangent (tanδ) decreased. Moreover, the crystallinity first increased and then decreased when the EP content increasing. All above properties of the composites were more sensitive to the epoxy resin with low epoxy equivalent.
