This paper reviewed the application of polymer/polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane（POSS）composites as flame retardant,low dielectric constant, and electroluminescent materials. The direction of polymer/POSS composites was prospected and the limitations of polymer/POSS composites were pointed.

Research progress in the preparation of polystyrene/graphene nanocomposites has been reviewed, including solution intercalation,micro-ballon cover reduction,in situ micro-emulsion polymerization,picking micro-emulsion polymerization,click chemistry, atom transfer radical polymerization. The electrical, thermal,rheological,and mechanical properties of the nanocomposites have been summarized.Finally some prospects of the applications in polystyrene/graphene nanocomposites have been put forward.

Research on PVC/CB/Cu Plating Nanosheets Electrical Conductive Poly (vinyl chloride) Composites Filled with Mixed Filler

Graphite nanosheets (nano-Gs) were prepared via sonication, of which teh particle size was about 10μm and average thickness was about 100nm, then using palladi μm-free stannous chlorid free electroless plating to plate Cu on the surface of nano-Gs. The PVC/Cu plating nano-Gs and PVC/CB/Cu plating nano-Gs composites were prepared by way of melt blending. The volμme resistivity of the PVC/Cu plating nano-Gs composites get the lowest value of 104Ω·cm when the mass fraction of Cu plating nano-Gs reached the percolation threshold(12%), but the tensile strength and notched impact strength of the composites both decrease compared with the pure PVC; when the mass fraction of Cu plating nano-Gs and CB was 10% and 2% ,respectively, the volμme resistivity of the PVC/CB/Cu plating nano-Gs composites get the lowest value of 103Ω·cm, an order of magnitude lower than PVC/Cu plating nano-Gs, and the tensile strength and notched impact strength of the composites both increased a lot compared with the neat PVC.

Effects of Chemical Crosslink on Structures and Properties of PPDI-based Polycarbonate Urethane

A series of chemical crosslinked polycarbonate urethanes (PCUs) were synthesized from 1,4-phenylene diisocyanate (PPDI), trimethylolpropane (TMP), 1,4-butanediol (BDO) as hard segments and polycarbonate diol (PCD) as soft segments through melting prepolymer method. The effect of the content of TMP on structures and properties of PCUs were examined. The mechanical test indicated that the tensile strength and elongation at break increased with the increase of the content of TMP, while the compression set decreased. With increasing crosslink density of the PCUs, the degree of H-bonded carbonyl in the PCUs decreased from 23 % to 5 %, and the Tg value of the soft segment domains in the PCUs increased significantly form -33 °C to -17 °C, which indicated that the micro-phase separation of the PCUs was decreased. DMTA results showed that while the content of TMP was less than 40 %, PPDI-based polycarbonate urethane had excellent heat resistance and dynamic performance.

Effect of Ionic and Nonionic Dispersant on the Dispersion Property of Carbon Fiber in Oil Material

In this study the effect of dispersant on the dispersion of carbon fibers in non-polar was investigated. Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based carbon fiber, which was difficult to disperse, was selected in our study. Ionic MLBH and nonionic SCAT were chose as the dispersants. SEM and FTIR were used to characterize the surface morphology and chemical composition of the leached and non-leached carbon fiber. Dispersion state, sedimentation time and turbidity value were used to measure the dispersion result of carbon fiber in non-polar matrix. It was found that both ionic MLBH and nonionic SCAT could significantly improve the dispersion of carbon fiber. Besides, the effect of ionic MLBH was better than that of nonionic SCAT. The optimal leaching silk concentration of MLBH and SCAT were 0.3 % and 2.0 % respectively.

The effect of the type,content, and dispersion of heat insulation fillers and coupling agent on thermal-physical performance of polytriazole resin was studied by an orthogonal experiment and discussed by range and variance analysis.A uniform dispersion could be realized by high shear emulsification and ultrasonic treatment.The loading of nano-SiO2, hollow microsphere, coupling agent, and dispersion time constituted affecting factors on the thermal conductivity of polytriazole resin,with the dispersion time being a main factor. Furthermore, the thermal conductivity of polytriazole resin reached the maximum when the content of nano-SiO2, hollow microsphere, coupling agent were 3%, 8%, 1%, respectively,and dispersion time was 45min.

Structure and Mechanical Properties of PP/LCP Composites In Situ Reinforced Prepared by Extrusion Molding

Liquid crystal polymer(LCP) was introduced into polypropylene and the blend was extruded through a homemade extrusion molding die with composite tensile function, a in situ tensile self-enhancement was observed. The effect of LCP on the physical,mechanical, and thermal properties of PP was investigated. It showed that LCP formed fibrous structure in the polypropylene matrix.When the content of LCP was 10 phr,the mechanical properties and the thermal deformation temperature of the blends were enhanced by 25.2% and 21.1oC,respectively. The addition of LCP also improved the flowability and crystallinity of polyproplene.

Study on Ternary-BMI Resin System Modified by Submicron β-SiC Whisker

In this paper, submicron β-SiC whisker was first treated with a silane coupling agent (KH550) and then introduced into a ternary-bismaleimide system (BDM/ BPA-BMI /DABPA). The tensile and bend moduli of the cured resin were improved effectively and the elongation at break was reduced because of the presence of β-SiC whisker.The impact and fracture toughness of the resin was not changed.With increasing of β-SiC whisker content,the temperature of maximum degration rate of the cured resin increased and the maximum degradation rate decreased.The introduction of β-SiC whisker increased the glass transition temperature (Tg) of cured resin and the maximum Tg value reached 308℃. The thermal stability and heat resistance of the cured resin were improved.

Investigation on Dynamic Rheological Behavior and Dynamic Mechanical Properties of Polyamide 11/Phosphorus-Nitrogen IFR Blends

Blends of polyamide 11 and phosphorus-nitrogen intumescent (IFR) containing flame retardant modifier were prepared on an internal mixer by melt compounding, and their dynamic rheological and mechanical properties were investigated using a rotational rheometer and dynamic mechanical analyzer. Melt of both polyamid 11 and its modifier were pseudoplastic fluid and exhibited shear-thinning.The storage modulus,loss modulus, and complex viscosity of the blends were decreased with increasing IFR contents, the phase separation did not occur in the blends. The storage modulus of the glassy blends was enhanced with the increasing IFR loading level.

Preparation and Properties of Acid Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes/Phenolic Composites

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were functionalized by acid. CNTs treated with or without acid treatment were tested by FT-IR and SEM, which was demonstrated that the acid treatment shorten the CNTs, the impurities were removed from the CNTs, and several groups such carboxyl groups and hydroxy groups were inserted in CNTs. Phenolic resin modified by acid CNTs was synthetized by the solution polymerization and as-received products were then analyzed by FT-IR. The impact strength and shear strength of phenolic resin modified by acid CNTs presented the trend which was increased firstly, and then decreased with CNTs content increased. Their corresponding maximums were about 271kJ•m-2、72MPa, and increased 41kJ•m-2、17MPa respectively when the content of CNTs was 1.5 wt%.

Effect of Silane Coupling Agent Modificated Nanometer TiO₂ on the UV Shielding Properties of PVC

Rutile TiO2 silane was grafted with coupling agent onto the surface by in situ polymerzation. The effect of particle size and the dosage of coupling agent was studied.It was found that the smaller the TiO2 particle size and the larger the functionality of the coupling agent, the higher the degree of modification.When the coupling agent was KH-570,the optimal loading was 10 ml.Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and IR spectra showed that coupling agent and nanoparticles were linked chemically. The surface modification of nanoparticles reduced the agglomeration,and thus enhanced the dispersion.When introduced into PVA film,the mechanical properties and UV resistance were effectively improved.

Single Valuedness of Ultrasonic Velocity and Polymer Melt Density

A Certain quality of polymer melt in sealed container, the PVT state variables conform to PVT state equation of the ideal gas. Use this the characteristics of polymer melt, By the experimental device based on PVT principle to design processing, the mathematical expression of experiments on polymer melts density and polymer bulk elastic modulus on the basis of physical definitions can be inferred. Property verification consistent changes exist in theory of polymer melt density and polymer bulk elastic modulus. Meanwhile, from the interrelationship among polymer melts density, polymer bulk elastic modulus and ultrasonic propagation velocity, the single valued mathematical expression between ultrasonic velocity and polymer melts density can be deduced and one-to-one correspondence between polymer melt density and ultrasonic velocity can be verified by experiments. This provides the theoretical basis for the application of ultrasonic technology to online measurement of polymer melts density.

Synthesis and Characterization of Composite Nano-particles TiO2/PAN Agent for UV Aging

Double bonds were introduced onto the surface of nano-TiO2 particles by treating it with a coupling agent,vinyl tri-tert-butyl peroxy silane (AC-70),then polyacrylonitrile (PAN) was found as :reaction time 5h,the reaction temperature75℃, the monomer concentration is 6, the BPO concentration 1.0%. Infrared spectra (FTIR) and XPS analysis showed that PAN was grated onto the surface of nano-TiO2. Hydrophilic-oleophilic and the contact angle test showed that the surface of nano-TiO2 changed from hydrophilic to lipophilic, the contact angle increased. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that the agglomeration of nanoparticles significantly reduced. Finally, ultraviolet absorption(UV-V) analysis showed that nano-TiO2-g-PAN particles possessed an excellent ultraviolet absorbing ability.

Multi-objective Optimization of Injection Process Based on RAM/GA Method

Injection molding with different process parameters was simulated using injection molding CAE software Moldflow and Taguchi experimental design. The comprehensive evaluation of volume shrinkage, warpage, and shrinkage of the part was created by using fuzzy weighting method. A response surface model was formulated for the relationship between comprehensive score and process parameters, from which the optimum technology porfolio of multi-objective optimization was obtained by genetic algorithm. The results showed that the response surface model was reliable;multi-objective optimization of injection molding process by response surface model was an effective way.

Study on Separation of Aluminum-Plastic Composite Materials

The recovery of aluminum and plastics from aluminum-plastic blister composite materials was studied by using several organic solvents.A mixture of toluene-ethanol-water constitued a suitable solvent. The volume ratio of three solvents, the soaking temperature, and the stirring intensity, were further investigated for better recovery.When the soaking temperature was 60℃, the volume ratio of toluene were toluene:ethanol: water=3:2:5,and the stirring speed was 450 r/min,the recovery had the highest efficiency.

Impact of Modification of Aluminum Hydroxide on Properties of PVC

In this paper, stearic acid , γ - aminopropyl triethoxysilane (KH550), and aluminate coupling agent were introduced into soft PVC. The effect of the modifiers on activation index, oxygen index, mechanical property, hardness, and micro morphology were studied. When the content of stearic acid was 1.5 phr, that of the stearic acid modified aluminum hydroxide was 20 phr,the material provieded a comprehensive performance, and the oxygen index increased by 2.7%.

A System Design of the Main Body of the Outside Model Decoration Equipment

Based on the principle of OMD technology, an outside model decoration equipment system design scheme was propsed. At first, a pressure vessel calculation software was used to design the mould cavity, its thickness was analysed and calculated. According to the material requirements, an appropriate wall thickness was ultimately determined. According to the size of each part, a three-dimensional model was established. Then the guide buffer device was designed to slow down the velocity and shock of the system. At last, according to the system requirements, a sealing system, a hydraulic system and a pneumatic system were designed, including the choose of the sealing ring and the seal type, the selection of the cylinder, the design of the air pressure system, the selection of the hydraulic cylinder and the hydraulic pump and the design of the hydraulic system.The components designed here fitted well,and it had a certain precision and good stability.

Design and Kinematics Research of a Novel Manipulator

A novel 3-DOF hybrid manipulator for plastic injection machine was proposed. Kinematics simulation analysis was carried out with Pro/ E and Adams software, and simulation results showed that the mechanism was characterized by large work space, smooth motion performance, and simple architecture, which exhibited good prospects in injection machine automation.

Take PBT/PP/30%GF plastic head for an example, difficulties in mold design were analyzed.Resin pouring system,sheave guide are core pulling structure ,thread demoulding structure and wire cylinder needle with two-setp ejection mechanisum were designed.The overall sructure and working process of the mould were introduced.The mold without external pulling device can achieve plastic parts are core pulling by the injection molding machine itself.
