液体端羟基丁苯橡胶改性环氧树脂研究

Modification of Epoxy Resin with Liquid Hydroxyl Terminated Butadiene-styrene Copolymer

摘要: 采用2,4,6-三(二甲氨基甲基)苯酚为催化剂,以弱极性液体端羟基丁苯橡胶(HTBS)增韧改性环氧树脂,以甲基六氢邻苯二甲酸酐固化HTBS改性环氧树脂预聚物。考查了HTBS用量对固化环氧树脂的耐热、微观结构、力学及电学性能的影响。结果表明,HTBS的端羟基同环氧树脂的环氧基团发生了化学反应,增强了两相的界面相容性,改性后环氧树脂热稳定性有所下降;均匀分布于环氧树脂基体中的HTBS在环氧树脂固化时形成相分离结构,在低HTBS用量下固化环氧树脂获得了较好综合力学性能及冲击韧性;HTBS改性环氧树脂的绝缘电阻及介电强度升高,介电常数和损耗因子下降。

Abstract: Liquid hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTBS) was employed to modify epoxy (EP) at presence of benzyldimethylamine to improve the brittleness and resistivity of epoxy. This paper investigated the thermal stability, morphology, mechanical, and electrical properties of HTBS modified EP. The formation of chemical bond between terminal hydroxyl group of HTBS and epoxy group of EP, enhanced the compatibility between the two materials. The use of HTBS decreased the thermal stability of EP. At low HTBS concentration the bending, tensile, and impact strengths of EP are enhanced obviously. SEM micrographs verified the phase separation, accountable for improved toughness of modified epoxy. Additionally, the HTBS/EP exhibited clear improvements in electrical insulations and dielectric properties, i.e., low dielectric permittivity and dissipation factor as compared with the unmodified one.
