Abstract: In this study, the effect of TPAE contents on the morphology, mechanical properties, and thermal properties of PLLA/ ternary polyamide blends was investigated using SEM, DSC, and XRD. The tensile strength, elongation at break and impact strength of PLLA/ ternary polyamide blends significantly increased after the addition of TPAE. When the mass ratios of PLLA/ ternary polyamide /TPAE were 70/30/5, the blend gave the highest elongation at the break of 370 % and Izod impact strength of 90 J/m. SEM analysis showed that the domain size of ternary polyamide significantly decreased after the addition of TPAE. DSC and XRD analysis showed that the crystallinity of the blends significantly increased after tensile testing.
