Abstract: Novel interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) based on cycloaliphatic epoxy resin (CER) containing cyclohexene oxide groups and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA) were synthesized in this paper. The influences of TMPTMA content on the electrical properties of CER/TMPTMA were also studies. The results showed that the AC resistivity values of the cured CER/TMPTMA IPNs at different temperatures were related to both the formulation and microstructures of the systems. With the increase of TMPTMA content, the breakdown strength of CER/TMPTMA and its shape parameter of Weibull distribution increased gradually. The increase of shape parameter indicated that homogeneity of CER/TMPTMA was improved gradually and mechanism of dielectric breakdown tended to uniform.
