Abstract: The influence of modified nano-carbon black on the non-isothermal curing behavior of epoxy resin was studied using differential scanning calorimetry. It showed that the modified nano-carbon black decreased the initial curing and peak temperature of epoxy resin. The dependence of the activation energy on conversion rate was determined using the isoconversional method of Ozawa-Flynn-Wall. The kinetics parameters of the curing process were determined with Malek method. A two-parameter (m, n) autocatalytic model was found to be appropriate to describe the kinetics of the epoxy resin, the predicted results agreed well with the experiments.
