Study on Preparation and Fatigue Property of Short Carbon Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Composites

Abstract: Thermoplastic composites of polyethylene and chopped carbon fiber were prepared via injection molding. The influence of carbon fiber content on the fatigue property of the composites was studied, and the fracture mechanism of the composites was analyzed. The lifespan of the composites was prolonged with increasing content of carbon fiber.
